Yellowstone in the fall

Took a recent trip with relatives to the south of Yellowstone Naitonal Park. Nice open meadow with a little blue sky and view of the Tetons on the first day. Shot along the river ford the first night, never seeing the moon rise, but getting some nice river reflections on 35mm. We followed trail the next day along the fall brush still holding the morning rain. Then hiking north along the river into some thermal areas. First day and a half were challenging enough to shoot, but the afternoon hail storm and continuing rain proved for a quick exit and nine mile hike back to camp. Stopping only to ford the rivers and soak in some of the fall views on the way down. Over all an amazing trip and a good recon for next time. 3 1/2 days of solitude [aside from the trail having peak it’s number of hikers] Thanks Bill, Carrie, and Pat for a good group and great trip.
